Hyderabad: TRS chairman and chief minister Chandrashekar Rao is ready to form a “national political working committee” to help him with national politics. Party sources said that Rao plans to accommodate 24 members in this committee, which would include senior party leaders, some ministers, MPs, MLC and MPs, as well as retired officers from the IAS and IPS, intellectuals and political analysts.
The task of these committee members is to assist the CM in talks with regional party leaders in its attempt to forge an anti-BJP front for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The committee will identify issues that need to be discussed during the CM’s talks with regional leaders.
In addition, it has been decided to accelerate the construction works of the TRS office in Delhi to ensure its completion by the end of the year.
The CM also decided to appoint official party spokespersons in Delhi to coordinate with national level party affairs in Delhi and coordinate with the national media.
The CM had laid the groundwork for the TRS office in Delhi last September, but work is progressing slowly.
Rao, who is waging a political battle against the BJP-led government in the Center after the Huzurabad assembly was defeated by the TRS party last November “decided to play a key role in national politics from February 1 , after the presentation of the budget of the Union in the Parliament”, affirmed sources of the party.
Blaming Prime Minister Modi and the Center for presenting a Golmaal budget, KCR said it would try to bring all parties together to root the BJP out of power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Since then, KCR has been focusing on national politics by talking with regional party leaders such as Mamata Banerjee, Deve Gowda, Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, etc. The CM spoke at three public meetings this month in which he said he was ready to “sacrifice” every last drop of his blood to “get the country back on track and save the nation of divisive and community forces”.
KCR wants to continue touring in March after the budget session of the state legislature and endeavor to hold a regional party conclave in Hyderabad or Delhi to discuss the future course of action against the BJP.
