Week of April 25 to April 29: meetings of the municipal council and the advisory committee of the SB.

A long-time Edhat subscriber, hoping for more public involvement in our local government, thought it would be useful and interesting for the community to have a weekly list of select meetings, ones that might be of interest to the whole town. . We agree. Do not hesitate to tell us what you think, good idea? waste of time? you want it to continue but with more than the city of Santa Barbara? There were cover requests from Carpinteria and Goleta; volunteers to do this and/or county meetings, please contact [email protected].

This weekly list of Edhat volunteers includes city council and some advisory committee meetings. As directed by Council: City of Santa Barbara Advisory Committee meetings are now held in person. Only Council will have “hybrid” access, in-person and via Zoom, allowing those who cannot attend Council meetings in person to raise concerns via Zoom. Individual departments, however, make their own choices about whether or not to enable hybrid; see the calendars listed for access information. Locations: City Council Chambers upstairs at City Hall, 735 Anacapa Street; David Gebhard Hall, 630 Garden Street, or where indicated.

Santa Barbara has a municipal calendar of meetings; here it is for April: https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/cals/. (NB: City Calendar is a guide and is not always accurate.) City TV covers many meetings and has reruns and updates with newly scheduled meetings: https://www.santabarbaraca.gov/gov/ depts/cityadmin/programming. asp.

Common abbreviations: PDA, Project Design Approval; FA, final approval. If we’ve misposted an address or there’s a meeting you’d like to see listed, please let us know in the Comments section below. Thank you!
