CHENNAI: Edtech engineering platform Skill-Lync said on Monday it had reached an annual revenue rate (ARR) of $40 million, growing more than 4x in the last five months.
With that, the startup is well positioned to grow 100% quarter over quarter and remain profitable, the company said. In 2021, the edtech company deepened its course offerings and witnessed a 3x growth in enrollment in India and internationally, with students enrolled in over 78 countries.
Along with increasing revenue, the company said it has now helped more than 1,000 engineers secure successful career opportunities by doubling down on partnerships and placements with companies including Renault Nissan, Cyient, Altair, AMTZ, Expleo, to name a few. The company also hired more than 1,000 employees within six months, which contributed enormously to the growth.
“As Skill-Lync expands globally, we have seen tremendous interest in our courses. We have quadrupled in the last five months keeping our marketing spend under control and aiming for profitability in 2022. We aim to deliver strong results for the next two quarters as we work on our growth strategy,” Nikhil Mittal , head of growth at Skill Lync, said.
So far, the startup has raised a total of $20 million through its Iron Pillar-backed seed and Series A funding rounds along with Y Combinator and Better Capital. The engineering-focused edtech startup offers courses in mechanical, electrical, civil, and computer engineering to students around the world.
