On Wednesday, the Nasarawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) swore in its 27 new state working committee members.

Attorney General and State Justice Commissioner Abdulkarim Kana swore in new members of the state working committee in Lafia.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has instructed the newly sworn in state working committee members to work more and intensify efforts on the integration of party members across the state.

Sule who declared that the interest of the party is above the interest of each, instructed them to put the collective interest above the personal interest in the exercise of their functions and to give each member his dues.

He also instructed them to be accountable and transparent in carrying out their duties.

The governor further said that the two former governors of the state, Abdullahi Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, who are vying for the party’s national chairmanship, are highly respected leaders in the state and would support the one of them who would emerge as the National Chairman of the party.

He therefore warned party members and those vying for various positions to stop overheating the political regime and putting the party’s interest against their self-interest.

Party state chairman John W. Mamman, who was previously inaugurated nationally, said he would continue to prioritize fairness and justice among party members.

He assured that the working committee would focus on strengthening the party to the highest heights.
