The employment rate for women in Hungary stands at 67%, just below the average of 68% for the whole of the European Union, according to data compiled by the EU statistical agency Eurostat at the occasion of International Women’s Day.

In a regional comparison, the female employment rate is 72% in the Czech Republic and 66% in Poland and Slovakia, according to 2020 data.

Eurostat also noted that the employment rate of third-country women living in the EU averaged 53%.
