Domestic cricketers who did not contest for the Ranji Trophy last season will likely get a minimum compensation of 50% of their total match fee if the BCCI Apex Council approves the task force’s recommendation.

It has also been learned that the long-awaited increase in match fee for domestic cricketers will be approved by the President and Secretary.

As of now, the general expectation is that the new match fee will be between ₹2 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh.
