The National Secretary of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr.
Shehu Gabam says “the party is one and united.
”
The statement was made following the solidarity visit of the Forum of all SDP state chairmen to the national leadership of the party.
Mr.
Gabbam said “the party remains focused on greater heights.
”
In a statement released at the National Secretariat of the SDP in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, the President of the Forum, Mr.
Femi Olaniyi, said that “all state presidents support and support the National Working Committee in its efforts to instill discipline, focus, decorum and determination to win in the party and in particular, its recent efforts to strengthen and stabilize party structures across the country.
”
SDP faction leader Dr. Abdul Ahmed Isiaq, who was suspended as National Vice President of the North, also declared the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Dr.
Olu Agunloye and the National Secretary, Mr. Shehu Gabam.
Mr.
Gabam further said that the suspended Northern National Vice President is in line with the party constitution.
He added that “it’s unfortunate for someone who has been in the party for a very long time.
.
His track record suggests he does not uphold the integrity of the party.
Reacting to the visit of the national chairman of the party, Dr.
Olu Agunloye praised state presidents for their isolation in the party.
