JKSA Central Working Committee Elects New Board Members

Srinagar, April 13: The central working committee of the J&K Students Association (JKSA) held a detailed meeting on Wednesday to discuss issues facing the student community across the country.

A JKSA statement said that since the association dissolved its organizational structure last week, the meeting was convened for elections of new board members to reorganize and renovate the organizational structure.

Mushtaq Habeeb and Nasir Khuehami were retained as National President and National Spokesperson of the Association respectively, while Munawar Mehraj was elected National Vice President, Danish Lone as National General Secretary and Davood Peer as National Secretary of the Association , the statement said.

Additionally, the central working committee has appointed Shahnawaz Ahamd as National Media Coordinator, Faizan Peer as Joint Secretary and Ummar Jamal as additional spokesperson for the Association.

The Association holds elections annually in April to make new organizational appointments to reorganize the organizational structure.

Meanwhile, JKSA has decided to expand to several other states in the country and to foreign countries like Bangladesh, China, Ukraine, Iran and other countries where thousands of Kashmiri students are gaining a education.

The move came after students demanded to register his presence wherever J&K students study, according to the statement.

Association President Mushtaq Habeeb emphasized that all members and volunteers of the Association should work in cooperation and should follow the decisions of the working body.

The Association has always fought for the rights of Kashmir students and will always continue its efforts to do so in the future as well, he added.

JKSA National Spokesperson Nasir Khuehami congratulated the new board members with the full hope that they will all work with zeal and enthusiasm for the welfare, safety and benefits of J&K students.
