JAMMU, February 9: The Panthers Party Working Committee met today under the chairmanship of Jai Mala, founding member of JKNPP and wife of Professor Bhim Singh and unanimously passed several resolutions including the appointment of Yashpaul Kundal as the incumbent chairman of the party, which will contest the upcoming elections under the leadership of Harsh Dev Singh, the chairman of JKNPP.
The Working Committee empowered Harsh Dev Singh to make all decisions relating to organizational matters and the upcoming Assembly elections to be held at J&K.
“Due to the ill health of Party Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh, it has become necessary to appoint a sitting Chairman who will assist the President. The working president will perform all duties in the absence of the president until March 23, 2022, when a new full-time president of the party will be appointed,” reads the resolution passed by the committee of work, which named Yashpaul Kundal, twice. MLA, former Minister and currently Secretary General of JKNPP as Chairman-in-Office.
The meeting also resolved that all members of the working committee undertake a membership drive in their respective districts with the district chairmen and submit bimonthly reports to the party working chairperson.
In addition, all members of the working committee together with the district presidents must raise funds for the day-to-day running of the party and to organize party functions. Accounts for all funds so raised will be kept by Gagan Pratap Singh, Party Secretary of State.
District Chairpersons will be reappointed after the Party’s Founding Day on March 23, 2022 and until then existing District Chairpersons will act on an ad hoc basis.
Rajesh Padgotra was appointed ad hoc provincial president in place of the outgoing provincial president whose resignation was accepted by the working committee.
The block level and tehsil level committees will be constituted by the working committee members together with the existing district presidents and provincial presidents and the same will be provided before the next party founding day which will be organized on March 23. 2022.
Earlier, Jai Mala and Harsh Dev Singh addressed the working committee meeting which was attended by Yashpaul Kundal, Masood Andrabi, Iqbal Choudhary, Manju Singh, Gagan Pratap Singh, Parshotam Parihar, Rajesh Padgotra, Er Arif Ali, Sdr Paramjit Singh Marshal, Basharat Ali, DR Atri, Maqbool Malik and others.
