J&K BJP chief says work committee raised concerns about ‘illegal mining’ (representational)

A few days after the multi-party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the BJP of Jammu and Kashmir held its working committee meeting on Monday and adopted a political resolution, calling for the speedy completion of the demarcation process and the holding of elections to the assembly in the territory of the union. .

The meeting also called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure an end to illegal mining and price fixing of minor minerals, including sand, and to respond to long pending demands from daily bets, village defense committees, home guards, special police officers and other sections of society, J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina said.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting at the party headquarters, Raina said the meeting unanimously passed a political resolution asking the boundary commission to quickly complete the assigned task to pave the way for holding assembly elections and popular government.

Addressing the party leaders, Mr. Raina said the party has a big mission ahead of it to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We have to prepare for the elections from today and move forward together for the success of our mission, which is to form the next government with the BJP chief minister in the chair with the full majority…I am sure that with your efforts, we will overcome all obstacles and come out victorious whenever the elections are held,” the BJP leader said.

He briefed workers on the all-party meeting chaired by the Prime Minister on June 24 and said it had ended the political deadlock at J&K as all 14 invited leaders from eight major parties attended.

The BJP leader also condemned the terrorist attacks relentlessly and said that “no terrorist will be spared by our brave police and other security forces.”

“They have once again shed innocent blood by killing an SPO along with his wife and daughter in Pulwama district, South Kashmir. The cowardly Pakistani terrorists want J&K to turn into a graveyard, but our security forces will not allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs. . They will be executed to death,” Mr. Raina said.

He said the BJP is a party of nationalists and nationalists across the country should feel safe under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

“Our security forces and our workers raised the national flag high and sacrificed their lives for the country. We salute them,” he added.

Mr Raina said the working committee expressed concern about “illegal mining” activities and soaring levels of minor minerals and sand.

“We demand the intervention of the Lieutenant Governor to halt illegal mining and bring down escalating prices. We will not hesitate to initiate agitation in the public interest,” he said. he declares.

He said the committee had also called on the lieutenant governor to respond to long-pending requests for more than a lakh daily wagers, casual and need-based workers who work in 28 different government departments and await their regularization. over the past three decades.
