A faction of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) led by Edozie Njoku, sacked the party’s State Working Committee in Kwara, Kogi, Lagos, Oyo, Delta, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi states .

Speaking to reporters in Abuja, the party’s National Administrative Secretary Okoro Benedict said it was part of the Njoku-led party’s reconciliation efforts, adding that the decision was taken after the meeting of the National Working Committee ( NWC) of the party. stakeholders.

According to a statement read by Benedict XVI after the meeting, the NOC adopted a vote of confidence in the national president, Chief Edozie Njoku, in particular on his conciliatory leadership style.

The NWC faction of APGA has also called on INEC to recognize the leaders who emerged from the Owerri convention of May 31, 2019, which produced Chief Edozie Njoku as National President of APGA.

“Following the judgments of the Supreme Court and the Federal High Court, the NWC met and deliberated on a wide range of issues, in particular recent court pronouncements on the party, and resolved as follows;

“That for the sake of peace and genuine reconciliation, the party executives of the following states be dissolved; – Kwara, Kogi, Lagos, Oyo, Delta, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi.

“That an ad hoc committee be hereby established to formulate strategies to ensure that the APGA sweeps the 2023 general election across the federation.

“That all APGA members are hereby invited to take the opportunity of INEC’s ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to register and obtain their permanent voter cards (PVC)”, the statement signed by: Alhaji Adamu Danjuma Musa (Deputy National Chairman of the North), Hon. Freedom Okwuchukwu (South National Vice President), Muyideen Imam (National Secretary) among others said.
