The Osun State All Progressives Congress has called on the party’s national working committee to clarify issues surrounding the appeals committee set up for the outcome of the party’s gubernatorial primary election in the state. ‘State.
Osun APC in response to a news article on thenationonlineng.net and other online platforms indicates that Osun APC’s appeal against the manipulated gubernatorial primary election has been rejected.
The party’s publicity secretary, Comrade Abiodun Agboola, in a statement released on Tuesday, called on the national secretariat to address the confusion over the appeal committee issue as it denigrates the party’s image.

The statement reads in full: “The story appears to be an authentication of an earlier story published in a few online outlets that previously broke it. And we had issued a rebuttal on Sunday insofar as the appeal commission had not yet been constituted, let alone sit and rule on the petition against the election.

“However, we are not surprised by this development as it constitutes another regular occurrence of manipulation, abuse of power and suppression of the truth by Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a member of the National Planning Committee for the Interim Convention. and Extraordinary Congress of All Progressives.

“We have always borne it with serenity and we absolutely believe that the National Secretariat of the APC will correct the anomaly, but this seems to be an impossible task because the complicity born of the adhesion of Governor Oyetola of the NCECPC of our party is the obstacle.

“Our submission is the result of the similarity in how all of our attempts to explore internal party resolution mechanisms have unfolded.

“They were all resolved fraudulently and compromisingly in favor of Governor Oyetola, Vice Chairman of the party’s NCECPC.

“We don’t want to accuse the National Secretariat of complicity, but we dare say that the manner in which it responded to the issues gives the impression that all actions taken on Osun’s issues were at the behest of Governor Oyetola.

“Our calls for him to be stripped of his NCECPC membership, which made him a referee and a player in a football game, have gone unheeded.

“For this appeal case, we recorded that Alhaji Adeoti’s lawyers were at the National Secretariat to inquire about the progress of the case from Wednesday to Friday and the affirmative answer they got was that the appeal committee had not yet been set up.

“So it came as a surprise to read on thenationonline.net authoritatively asserting that the petition was rejected by an appointed committee and the reasons why it was rejected.

“We believe that those who are appointed in committee with this inglorious act will deny it for the sake of their integrity and their essential beings, otherwise we pray karma to deal with all workers of iniquity.

“So it becomes apparent that it was Governor Oyetola’s spin-docs who were directing the film in which the lawyers were told no committee had been set up when an unsigned story suddenly emerged claiming opposite.

“Normally we would have taken this in our stride, as usual, but we are asking the National Secretariat to address the confusion over the issue of the appeal committee, as it has denigrated the image of the party.

“Could it be that the internal organs of the CPA have degenerated to the point that the interests of an individual can override those of the required standards and the generality of the membership?

“In a firm request, we wish to obtain details on the date of constitution of the commission, its working hours and the closing date of its sessions.

“Will it be fair to simply dismiss a petition on the grounds of not “providing detailed details” as stated in the planted story?

“In fair justice, it would have been that the committee, if sitting, would have asked Alhaji Moshood Adeoti to provide them with these details rather than throwing the baby out with the birth water.

“May we ask who procured the characters they named in the story as authenticating the fraudulent primary election? It can only be Governor Oyetola who procured them.

“While the APC National Secretariat has pampered Governor Oyetola with so much impunity, it finds it easy to shave Alhaji Adeoti’s head in his absence by allegedly rejecting his petition when he was never contacted that the committee has been set up. If Alhaji Adeoti, former state chairman of the party and secretary of the state government, is treated with impunity in this way, what chance does an ordinary member have?

“Justice would never be served in such a situation and we doubt that APC headquarters would want to be burdened with a veil of injustice simply because of one individual.

“We know on a reliable basis that the date of the discredited primary has been moved to take into account the manipulation and impunity that will accompany it and what happened on election day.

“We note that the date change was flown like a kite for almost two weeks before it was officially confirmed by the NCECPC Secretary without any justification.

“The last effort has been to wrap up the entire fraud before a new National Executive who may want to be impartial about the issues here takes over.

“It is fundamental to note that impunity can only last for a short time, when its expiry comes; it will fall like a deck of cards”.
