New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi party, which is targeting more states after winning Punjab this year, on Monday disbanded its working committee in Himachal Pradesh, where elections are due to be held later this year.

AAP Elections Officer in Himachal Pradesh, Satyendar Jain, took to Twitter and updated on the party’s decision and said that the new state working committee would soon be revamped.

This comes after the party led by Arvind Kejriwal witnessed the resignation of several of its hill state leaders, including his wing leader wife Mamata Thakur who later joined the BJP.

Union Minister and MP for Hamirpur Anurag Thakur has mocked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after its heads of state joined the BJP, saying its leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, will struggle to save his party organization in Himachal Pradesh.

As of Friday, AAP Himachal Pradesh Chairman Anup Kesari, General Secretary (Organization) Satish Thakur and Una District Chief Iqbal Singh had joined the BJP in the presence of its Chairman JP Nadda and Thakur in the nation’s capital.

Seeking to downplay defections from its state unit, the AAP then said it would fire them, saying the three leaders joining the BJP were ‘sullied’ and there was an allegation against Kesari of indecent behavior. with women.

Kesari lashed out at the AAP leadership for engaging in “character assassination” and alleged that they were “fake nationalists” and full of arrogance.

He and Mamata Thakur accused the AAP of ignoring party members in the state and praised the BJP for its programs.

Anurag Thakur, a native of the state, said the AAP was so shaken by the departure of its leaders from the party that it started tossing out allegations to insult them, including the women.

“Kejriwal had thought about forming a government in the state but he is struggling to save his party organization,” he said.
